A simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes.

Ingredients:

- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until the garlic is golden brown (about 2-3 minutes).
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing it well to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency.
4. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
5. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
