A quick and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and a touch of red pepper flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 100ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet with the garlic and oil, mixing well to coat the pasta.
5. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency. Season with salt to taste.
6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve hot with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
