This simple yet flavorful Italian pasta dish features garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner!

Ingredients:

- 400g spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and sliced garlic. Sauté the garlic until it turns golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet along with a splash of the reserved pasta water. Toss everything together to combine and coat the pasta with the oil and garlic.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
