Ingredients:
- Spaghetti - 200g
- Olive oil - 4 tablespoons
- Garlic - 4 cloves, thinly sliced
- Red chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Parmesan cheese - for serving (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the pan and sauté until it turns golden, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for another minute.
5. Once the spaghetti is done, reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the garlic oil, tossing to combine.
7. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water.
8. Stir in the fresh parsley and season with salt to taste.
9. Serve hot, with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
