Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until it turns golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
3. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
5. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
