A simple and delicious Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes.

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and then drain the pasta.
2. While the spaghetti is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
3. Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet and stir for another 30 seconds.
4. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet along with a splash of the reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until the spaghetti is well-coated in the oil and garlic.
5. Season with salt to taste and add more pasta water if needed to reach your desired consistency.
6. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese, if using. Serve immediately.
