Classic Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and chili flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until it turns golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red chili flakes and cook for an additional minute.
5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil. Toss well to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time if needed to create a sauce.
7. Season with salt to taste, and garnish with chopped parsley.
8. Serve hot with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
