Classic Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple yet flavorful pasta dish made with garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the pan and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
4. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
5. Once the pasta is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the garlic oil. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.
7. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until you reach the desired consistency.
8. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.
9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
