Ingredients:
- Spaghetti - 400g - Olive oil - 1/2 cup
- Garlic - 4 cloves, thinly sliced
- Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Parmesan cheese - for serving (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
5. Stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt to taste.
6. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
