Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and then drain the spaghetti.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
3. Add the red pepper flakes and cook for another minute to release their flavor.
4. Toss the drained spaghetti into the skillet with the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water.
5. Season with salt to taste and mix well to ensure the spaghetti is evenly coated.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
