A simple and flavorful Italian pasta dish with garlic and olive oil. Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. 2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté until it turns golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn it.
4. Stir in the red pepper flakes and cook for another 30 seconds.
5. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water and then drain the pasta.
6. Add the drained spaghetti to the skillet with the garlic oil, tossing to combine. If the pasta seems dry, add a bit of reserved pasta water.
7. Season with salt to taste and toss in the chopped parsley.
8. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
