A quick and delicious addition to pasta dishes, this sauce brings a nice kick to your meal. Preparation time: 30 minutes
Serving size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 chili, finely chopped (preferably fresh)
- 400 g crushed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
2. Add chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent.
3. Stir in crushed garlic and chopped chili, cooking for about one minute more.
4. Add crushed tomatoes and sugar, mixing well.
5. Allow the sauce to simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Serve over pasta and garnish with fresh basil or parsley leaves.
