Ingredients:

- 800 g potatoes
- 2 dl heavy cream
- 1 dl milk
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 dl grated cheese (e.g., Emmental or cheddar)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
2. Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves.
3. In a bowl, mix together the heavy cream, milk, salt, black pepper, and garlic.
4. Lightly grease a baking dish and layer the potato slices in it.
5. Pour the cream mixture over the potatoes, ensuring they are well covered.
6. Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over the top of the potatoes.
7. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 40 minutes.
8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the top is beautifully golden brown.
9. Let it sit for a moment before serving and garnish with fresh parsley.
