This delicious and hearty casserole combines Mexican flavors with traditional ingredients, perfect for a weeknight dinner! Preparation Time: 45 minutes
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 kg potato-onion mixture
- 1 tetra (390 g) garlic tomato puree
- 400 g ground beef
- 2.5 dl cooking cream (light/thick)
- 2.5 tablespoons butter/oil
- 2 handfuls frozen corn
- 1 packet Old El Paso Creamy Tacos seasoning mix
- Grated cheese to taste
Instructions:
1. Brown the ground beef in butter or oil in a skillet.
2. Once the beef is browned, add the seasoning mix and tomato puree. Mix well.
3. Stir in the corn and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
4. Cook the potato-onion mixture according to the package instructions.
5. Combine the cooked potato-onion mixture with the ground beef mixture.
6. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and pour the cooking cream on top.
7. Sprinkle grated cheese over the surface.
8. Bake in the oven at 200°C (392°F) for about 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the top is beautifully golden brown.
