This tasty and nutritious pie is perfect for lunch or a light dinner. Spinach and feta combine to create a delicious filling that the whole family will enjoy. Preparation Time: 45 minutes
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 package of ready-made pie crust
- 300 g fresh spinach
- 200 g feta cheese
- 100 ml cream
- 2 eggs
- 1 small onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- (Optional: sesame seeds for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté chopped onion and garlic until soft.
2. Add fresh spinach to the pan and cook until wilted. Remove from heat and let cool.
3. Crumble the feta cheese and mix it with the cooled spinach.
4. Add cream and eggs to the mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
5. Roll out the pie crust and place it in a pie dish. Pour the filling over the crust.
6. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 25-30 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
7. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with sesame seeds if desired.
