- 1 kg potatoes
- 500 g carrots
- 300 g rutabaga
- 400 g red cabbage
- 1 dl olive oil
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 dl nuts (e.g., walnuts or almonds)
- 6 candles
- Fresh herbs (e.g., thyme or rosemary) for garnish
Instructions:
1. Peel and chop the potatoes, carrots, and rutabaga. Boil the vegetables in salted water for about 15-20 minutes until they are tender.
2. Prepare the red cabbage: shred it and sauté in olive oil for a few minutes. Add honey, salt, and black pepper, and sauté for a little longer.
3. Once the vegetables are cooked, drain them and mix them with the sautéed red cabbage.
4. Add the nuts to the vegetable mixture and stir well.
5. Arrange the vegetables beautifully on a serving platter and garnish with fresh herbs.
6. Place the candles on the table and light them before serving to create an inviting atmosphere.
