A delicious dessert featuring poached pears filled with blue cheese and nuts.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 4 ripe pears
- 200 g blue cheese
- 1 dl balsamic syrup
- 2 dl red wine
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 dl nuts (e.g., walnuts or hazelnuts)
Instructions:
1. Peel the pears and slice the bottoms flat so they can stand upright.
2. In a saucepan, combine red wine, sugar, and the cinnamon stick. Heat gently until the sugar dissolves.
3. Add the pears to the saucepan and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until they are tender but not falling apart. Remove the pears and let them cool.
4. Crumble the blue cheese into a bowl and mix it with the nuts.
5. Once the pears are cool, fill them with the blue cheese mixture.
6. Serve the pears drizzled with balsamic syrup. Pour some syrup over the pears before serving.
