*Traditional Finnish Christmas bread with a rich blend of rye, spices, and dried fruits.* *Preparation Time: 3 hours (including rising time)*

Ingredients:
- 500 g rye flour
- 200 g wheat flour
- 250 g syrup
- 1 dl milk
- 2 dl water
- 1 packet dry yeast
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp orange zest
- 100 g nuts (e.g., walnuts)
- 100 g dried fruits (e.g., raisins or apricots)
Instructions:
1. Warm the milk and water until lukewarm.
2. In a large bowl, mix the dry yeast, salt, cinnamon, cloves, and orange zest with the rye and wheat flour.
3. Add the syrup and the warmed milk-water mixture, stirring until a smooth dough forms.
4. Incorporate the nuts and dried fruits into the dough and knead well.
5. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours.
6. Knead the dough again and shape it into a loaf.
7. Place the loaf in a baking dish lined with parchment paper and allow it to rise for another 30 minutes.
8. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and bake the bread for about 45-60 minutes, until it turns a lovely brown color.
9. Let the bread cool before serving. Enjoy!
