Ingredients:
- 400 g chicken pieces - 300 g pasta (e.g., tagliatelle or fusilli)
- 2 dl heavy cream
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 dl chicken broth
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 50 g Parmesan cheese (grated)
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in salted water. Drain and set aside. 2. Peel and chop the onion and garlic.
3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté for about 5 minutes until soft.
4. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 10-15 minutes.
5. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Season with salt, black pepper, and oregano. Let it simmer on low heat for about 15-20 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and mix well. Heat for a moment longer to warm the pasta through.
7. Serve the portions topped with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil if desired.
