Soft and sweet pastries that charm with their flavor and texture. These buns are easy to make and perfect for both coffee breaks and everyday treats. Preparation Time: 1 hour (includes rising)
Serving Size: About 12 buns
Ingredients:
- 500 g all-purpose flour - 2 dl milk
- 100 g butter
- 1 dl sugar
- 25 g fresh yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cardamom
- 1 egg (for brushing)
Instructions:
1. Warm the milk until it is lukewarm and crumble the yeast into it. Stir until the yeast dissolves. 2. Add melted butter, sugar, salt, and cardamom to the milk-yeast mixture.
3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour and knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it is elastic and smooth.
4. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 30-40 minutes, until it doubles in size.
5. Preheat the oven to 225°C (437°F).
6. Gently knead the dough and divide it into 12 pieces. Shape the buns into round balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Brush the buns with the beaten egg and let them rise for another 15 minutes.
8. Bake the buns in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, until they are beautifully golden brown.
9. Allow to cool before serving.
