Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 800 g potatoes
- 2 dl cream
- 2 dl milk
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 100 g cheese (e.g., Emmental or mozzarella)
- Butter for greasing the baking dish
Instructions:
1. Peel and slice the potatoes thinly.
2. Mince the garlic cloves.
3. Grease the baking dish with butter.
4. Layer the potatoes, garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg in the dish.
5. Pour the cream and milk over the potatoes until they are almost covered.
6. Grate the cheese and sprinkle it over the potatoes.
7. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 40 minutes.
8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the top is golden brown.
9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
