A versatile and delicious sandwich cake perfect for parties or gatherings. This easy-to-make recipe can be customized with your favorite fillings.
Preparation Time: 1 hour + 2 hours chilling
Serving Size: 8-10 servings

Ingredients:

- 1 package of sandwich bread (about 14 slices)
- 200 g cream cheese
- 150 g deli meats (e.g., ham or salmon)
- 100 g cheese (e.g., Emmental or cheddar)
- 1 dl mayonnaise
- 1 dl sour cream
- 1 cucumber
- 1 tomato
- Lettuce (e.g., iceberg lettuce)
- Fresh herbs (e.g., dill or parsley)
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Prepare the filling: In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Season with salt and pepper.
2. Slice the cucumber and tomato into thin slices.
3. Place the first layer of sandwich bread on a serving platter.
4. Spread a layer of the cream cheese filling on top of the bread.
5. Add layers of deli meats, cheese slices, cucumber and tomato slices, and lettuce.
6. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of bread on top.
7. Cover the sandwich cake with plastic wrap and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
8. Before serving, garnish the cake with fresh herbs and cut into serving pieces.
