Serving Size: 8 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 large loaf of bread (e.g., white or whole grain)- 200 g mozzarella cheese
- 150 g prosciutto
- 100 g fresh basil
- 150 g sun-dried tomatoes
- 200 g ricotta cheese
- 100 ml olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 100 ml balsamic vinegar (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cut the bread into three horizontal layers.2. In a bowl, mix ricotta, olive oil, salt, and pepper together.
3. Spread the ricotta mixture on the bottom layer of the bread.
4. Add a layer of mozzarella slices, prosciutto, fresh basil, and sun-dried tomatoes.
5. Repeat the layering process with the other two layers of bread.
6. Cover the sandwich cake with plastic wrap and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
7. Cut into serving pieces and serve with balsamic vinegar if desired.
