A delicious layered cake filled with fish, perfect for celebrations or special occasions. Preparation Time: 1 hour + cooling
Serving Size: 8
Ingredients:
- 1/2 dark loaf bread - 1/2 light loaf bread
- 3/4 dl fish broth (homemade or from a cube)
Filling:
- 200 g smoked salmon
- 150 g cream cheese
- 1 dl sour cream
- 1/2 dl mayonnaise
- 1/2 dl chopped chives
- 1/2 dl chopped dill
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Slice the dark and light loaf bread into thick slices. 2. Moisten the bread slices with the fish broth.
3. Prepare the filling: In a bowl, mix together the smoked salmon, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, chives, dill, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Place a layer of dark bread on a serving platter, spread some of the fish filling on top, and cover with light bread slices.
5. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of bread on top.
6. Let the sandwich cake chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
7. Decorate as desired before serving.
