Ingredients:
- 4 large potatoes - 1 liter oil (for frying)
- Salt to taste
- Mayonnaise for serving
Instructions:
1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into thick strips. 2. Soak the potato strips in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
3. Drain and dry the potatoes thoroughly with paper towels.
4. Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 180°C (350°F).
5. Fry the potato strips in small batches for about 5-7 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
6. Remove the fries and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil, then sprinkle with salt.
7. Serve warm with mayonnaise on the side.
