A delicious dessert combining crispy phyllo dough and aromatic cardamom, served with a rich vanilla sauce.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings

Ingredients:

- 1 sheet of phyllo dough (store the rest in the freezer)
- 25 g melted butter
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- ½ dl fine sugar

Vanilla Sauce:

- 2 dl milk
- 1 dl cream
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 egg yolk

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
2. Melt the butter and mix in the ground cardamom and fine sugar.
3. Cut the phyllo dough into squares and brush each layer with the melted butter mixture.
4. Layer the squares on top of each other and cut into desired portions.
5. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.
6. To make the vanilla sauce: heat the milk and cream in a saucepan. Combine the vanilla sugar and cornstarch with the egg yolk in a bowl.
7. Gradually pour the warm milk mixture into the egg yolk mixture while stirring continuously. Return the mixture to the saucepan and heat gently until the sauce thickens.
8. Serve the crispy phyllo pieces with the vanilla sauce.
