A delicious Finnish-style baguette perfect for any meal. Preparation Time: 2 hours
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 25 g fresh yeast
- 4 g salt
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 4 g sugar
- 2 cups milk (warm)
- 2.5 cups rye or bread flour
Instructions:
1. Dissolve the yeast in warm milk.
2. Add sugar, salt, and canola oil to the mixture.
3. Gradually mix in the rye or bread flour until well combined.
4. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it becomes elastic.
5. Let the dough rise under a cloth in a warm place for about 1 hour.
6. Shape the dough into a baguette and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7. Allow the baguette to rise for an additional 30 minutes.
8. Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (428°F) for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
9. Cool before serving.
