A delicious homemade pizza with a soft crust and flavorful tomato sauce. Preparation Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients
Dough:
- 300 ml milk
- 50 g yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 700 g wheat flour
- 3 tbsp oil
Tomato Sauce:
- 400 g crushed tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Toppings (optional):
- Grated cheese
- Bell peppers
- Mushrooms
- Olives
- Pepperoni
Instructions
1. Heat the milk until lukewarm and dissolve the yeast in it.
2. Add salt and oil, and mix well.
3. Gradually add the wheat flour until the dough is soft and elastic.
4. Knead the dough for about 5-10 minutes and let it rise under a cloth for about 30 minutes.
5. Prepare the tomato sauce: Finely chop the onion and garlic, sauté them in olive oil until soft.
6. Add the crushed tomatoes, oregano, sugar, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes.
7. Roll out the risen dough on a baking sheet and spread the tomato sauce evenly on top.
8. Add your desired toppings and grated cheese.
9. Bake the pizza in a preheated oven at 225°C (437°F) for about 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
10. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
