Description: This delicious pulled pork is made from slow-cooked pork shoulder, packed with flavor and juiciness. Perfect for serving as a filling in burgers or hot dogs. Preparation Time: 8-10 hours (cooking time)
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 kg pork shoulder - 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 400 ml water
- 100 ml BBQ sauce (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, coriander, and ginger.2. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the pork shoulder.
3. Place the seasoned meat in a roasting pan and add the water to the pan.
4. Cover the pan tightly with foil and bake in the oven at 120°C (250°F) for about 8-10 hours, until the meat is completely tender.
5. Remove the meat from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Use two forks to shred the meat into pieces.
6. If desired, mix BBQ sauce into the shredded meat.
7. Serve the pulled pork as a filling for burgers or hot dogs, or enjoy it on its own.
