A traditional Vietnamese dish made with glutinous rice and filled with delicious pork and mung beans. This delightful meal is perfect for festive occasions and celebrations.
Preparation Time: 4 hours (including soaking)
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 200 g glutinous rice
- 200 g mung bean paste
- 200 g fatty pork
- 2 green onions (chopped)
- 0.5 tsp salt
- Black pepper to taste
- 2 bamboo leaves
Instructions:
1. Soak the glutinous rice in water for 2 hours, then rinse it once.
2. Briefly blanch the mung beans in hot water and then blend them into a paste.
3. Add salt to the mung bean paste and mix well.
4. Cut the pork into small pieces and mix with green onions and black pepper.
5. Take a bamboo leaf and place one leaf on the table. Add a layer of soaked glutinous rice, followed by a layer of mung bean paste, and finally the pork mixture.
6. Cover the fillings with another layer of glutinous rice and fold the bamboo leaf tightly into a package.
7. Boil the package in boiling water for about 3 hours.
8. Allow to cool before serving, then cut into pieces.
