This delicious Banh Mi recipe combines savory pork fillings, fresh pickled vegetables, and a crispy baguette. Preparation time is about 1 hour and serves 4 sandwiches. Ingredients:
- 4 small baguettes
- 200 g pork tenderloin slices
- 200 g Vietnamese sausage
- 1 cucumber
- 2 green onions
- 1 carrot
- 100 ml rice vinegar
- 50 ml sugar
- 50 ml water
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro
- Mayonnaise
Instructions:
1. Prepare the pickles: Peel and slice the carrot and cucumber. In a bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and water. Add the sliced vegetables and stir well. Let marinate for about 30 minutes.
2. Cook the Vietnamese sausage in a skillet until golden brown. Slice it into pieces.
3. Toast the baguettes lightly in the oven or on a skillet until crispy.
4. Spread mayonnaise inside each baguette, then add the pork slices and Vietnamese sausage.
5. Top with the pickled vegetables and fresh cilantro.
6. Close the baguette and serve immediately.
