A deliciously sweet and sticky bun filled with apples, cinnamon, and pecans. Perfect for breakfast or dessert! Preparation Time: 2 hours
Servings: 12
Ingredients:
- 500 g all-purpose flour - 75 g sugar
- 10 g salt
- 10 g dry yeast
- 250 ml milk
- 75 g melted butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 apples (diced)
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 50 g raisins (optional)
- 100 g pecans (chopped)
- 100 g butter (for filling)
- 100 g brown sugar (for filling)
Instructions:
1. Heat the milk in a microwave or saucepan until warm to the touch. 2. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and dry yeast.
3. Add the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs to the mixture. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
4. Allow the dough to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
5. For the filling, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, diced apples, raisins, and chopped pecans together.
6. Roll out the dough into a large rectangle and spread the filling evenly over it.
7. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into slices about 2.5 cm thick.
8. Place the slices in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
9. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the buns for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
10. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
