Ingredients

- 600 g venison roast
- 1 packet of bacon
- 1-2 onions, finely chopped
- 1-2 tablespoons oil
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 dl beef broth

Instructions

1. Cut the venison roast into suitable pieces and season with salt, thyme, and black pepper.
2. Heat the oil in a large frying pan and add the bacon. Cook the bacon until crispy.
3. Add the chopped onions to the bacon and sauté until the onions are soft.
4. Add the pieces of venison to the pan and brown all sides until nicely colored.
5. Pour the beef broth over the roast and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer covered for about 45 minutes or until the meat is tender.
6. Serve with potatoes or vegetables.
