Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 500 g white-tailed deer meat (e.g., stew meat)
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 potatoes, diced
- 1 l beef broth
- 2 dl cream
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme (or 1 tsp dried)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Heat the oil in a large pot and brown the white-tailed deer meat thoroughly.
2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft.
3. Add the carrots and potatoes, and mix the ingredients well.
4. Pour the beef broth into the pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let the soup simmer for about 1 hour.
5. Stir in the cream, thyme, salt, and pepper. Allow to simmer for another 10 minutes.
6. Serve the soup hot, ideally with fresh bread.
