Spaghetti Aglio e Olio

A simple and delicious Italian pasta dish made with garlic and olive oil. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 2 servings
Ingredients:
- 200g spaghetti - 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 60ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti. 2. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté until garlic is golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
3. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan, tossing to combine with the garlic oil. If the pasta seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
4. Season with salt to taste and toss again.
5. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
