A delicious and simple fish dish perfect for Christmas appetizers. It has been tested and proven to be one of the best offerings on the fish table.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4-6 buffet servings
Ingredients:
- 400 g fresh fish (e.g., salmon or whitefish)
- 2 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp grated Västerbotten cheese
- 1 dl aquavit
- 1 lemon
- Fresh dill for garnish
Instructions:
1. Slice the fish into thin pieces and arrange them on a plate.
2. Mix the salt and sugar together and rub the mixture over the fish slices. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
3. Grate the Västerbotten cheese over the fish slices.
4. Squeeze the lemon juice over the fish and pour the aquavit on top.
5. Allow it to marinate for another 10 minutes.
6. Garnish with fresh dill before serving.
