A tasty dish perfect for any occasion. Preparation time is about 45 minutes and serves 4.Ingredients:
- 4 large bell peppers (preferably in different colors)
- 400 g ground beef (or chicken)
- 1 cup rice
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 cup grated cheese (e.g., cheddar or mozzarella)
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Cook the rice according to the package instructions and set aside to cool.
2. Peel and chop the onion and garlic.
3. Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté the onion and garlic over medium heat until soft.
4. Add the ground meat to the pan and cook until browned. Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and oregano.
5. Stir in the cooked rice and tomato sauce. Let the mixture simmer for a few minutes.
6. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds. Fill the peppers with the meat mixture.
7. Place the stuffed peppers in a baking dish and sprinkle grated cheese on top.
8. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 25-30 minutes until the peppers are tender and the cheese is melted and golden.
9. Serve warm and enjoy!
