A delicious Finnish dish that gains flavor from maple syrup, perfect as a side for winter meals. Preparation Time: 1 hour 30 minutes

Ingredients:
- 800 g rutabaga (lanttu)- 2 dl milk
- 2 dl cream
- 2 dl maple syrup
- 3 dl breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 dl butter
Instructions:
1. Peel and dice the rutabaga into small cubes. Boil them in salted water for about 15-20 minutes until soft. Drain and mash.2. In the mashed rutabaga, mix in the milk, cream, maple syrup, eggs, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Stir well.
3. Gradually add the breadcrumbs to the mixture and stir until smooth.
4. Grease a baking dish with butter and pour the rutabaga mixture into it.
5. Bake at 175°C (350°F) for about 45-60 minutes until the top is beautifully golden brown.
6. Let it cool slightly before serving.
