This delicious syrupy rutabaga casserole is a perfect addition to your holiday table or any festive gathering. The creamy version adds a delightful richness and flavor.

Ingredients:

- 700 g rutabaga
- 2 dl syrup
- 2 dl cream
- 1 dl milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 dl butter (for greasing)

Instructions:

1. Peel and dice the rutabaga into small cubes. Boil the cubes in salted water until soft.
2. Drain the rutabaga and mash it into a smooth puree.
3. Mix the syrup, cream, milk, eggs, nutmeg, and cinnamon into the puree.
4. Grease a baking dish with butter and pour the rutabaga mixture into it.
5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (350 °F) for about 40-50 minutes, until the top is beautifully golden brown.
6. Serve warm, adorned with cream.
