A delicious and tender dill beef dish that melts hearts and helps overcome past traumas related to beef. Serve with potatoes simmered in beef broth. Preparation Time: 3 hours
Serving Size: 4-6 people
Ingredients:
- 800 g beef - 2 l beef broth
- 10 allspice berries
- 3 bay leaves
- 50 g parsnip
- 50 g celery
- 50 g carrot
- 60 g butter
- 60 g all-purpose flour
- 1 l beef broth (cooking broth)
- fresh dill
- lemon juice
Instructions:
1. Boil the beef gently in the beef broth. Skim off any foam that rises to the surface during cooking. 2. After skimming, add the bay leaves, allspice berries, and a bunch of dill. Let it simmer for another two hours.
3. Reserve about one liter of the cooking broth and cube the meat.
4. Sauté the parsnip, celery, carrot, and onion in a pot for about ten minutes. Add the butter and let it melt into the mixture.
5. Stir in the flour and mix well. Gradually add the beef broth while stirring continuously. Let the mixture simmer gently for an hour and then strain the sauce.
6. Add the meat cubes to the sauce base. Also, add dill and lemon juice just before serving.
7. Serve the dill beef with potatoes and enjoy.
