Ingredients:
- 500 g ground beef
- 3-4 tbsp salt (to taste)
- A pinch of black pepper
- A pinch of oregano
- 2 eggs
- 100 ml milk
- Breadcrumbs (about 100-200 ml)
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- Fresh mint leaves (about 10-15)
- A splash of olive oil (about 2 tbsp)
- Pita bread
- Tzatziki
- Tomato slices
- Onion slices
Instructions:
1. Place the ground beef in a bowl and add salt, black pepper, and oregano. Mix well.
2. Add the eggs to the beef mixture and combine until smooth.
3. Pour the milk into a small bowl and add breadcrumbs until the mixture is firm, then mix it into the beef mixture.
4. In a blender, combine the onion, garlic, mint leaves, and a splash of olive oil. Add this mixture to the beef dough.
5. Mix the dough well and add more breadcrumbs if necessary until it is firm but not too stiff. Finally, add a little more olive oil.
6. Shape the dough into patties.
7. Cook the patties in a frying pan or oven until they are beautifully golden brown.
8. Fill the pita breads with tzatziki, beef patties, tomato slices, and onion slices. Wrap them up and wrap in foil.
