A delightful winter princess cake made with layers of flavorful fillings and a beautiful marzipan or fondant covering.
Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 8-10 servings
Ingredients:
- 200 g cream cheese (vanilla flavor)
- Powdered sugar for decoration
- 1 sponge cake roll
- Apple-cinnamon jam
- Strawberry jam
- A dollop of butter or margarine
- 2 tablespoons vanilla sugar
- 2 tablespoons vanilla pudding powder
- Marzipan or fondant
- Apple juice
- Edible glitter, sprinkles, pearls, etc.
- 2½ dl heavy cream
Instructions:
1. Prepare the decorations in advance and let them dry.
2. Make the sponge cake roll according to the recipe instructions.
3. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then mix in the vanilla sugar and vanilla pudding powder.
4. Spread the apple-cinnamon jam over the sponge cake roll, then add a layer of strawberry jam.
5. Spread the vanilla whipped cream over the jams.
6. Roll the sponge cake tightly into a log.
7. Cover the cake with marzipan or fondant.
8. Moisten the cake with apple juice.
9. Decorate the cake with edible glitter, sprinkles, and other decorations.
10. Allow the cake to set before serving.
