- 3 cups all-purpose flour - 3 eggs

- 2 cups water
- ½ package dates
Instructions
1. In a saucepan, boil sugar, water, and dates until the mixture becomes "mushy."2. Stir in the margarine and let it melt.
3. Remove the mixture from heat and quickly mix in the eggs.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, vanilla sugar, baking soda, and baking powder.
5. Combine the date mixture with the dry ingredients well.
6. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake at 175°C (350°F) for about 30-40 minutes or until the cake is done.
