Enjoy authentic burgers from scratch with this healthy and delicious street food-style recipe.

Ingredients:

- Burger Patties:
- 800 g ground beef
- 1 large onion
- 1 dl breadcrumbs
- 1 dl cream
- 2 eggs
- Salt
- Pepper
- Chili powder
- Fancy Mayonnaise:
- 1 dl cucumber mayonnaise or regular mayonnaise
- 2-3 tbsp ketchup
- Salt
- Pepper
- Toppings:
- Slices of bacon
- Frisée lettuce
- Tomato
- Smoked cheese
- Ketchup

Instructions:

1. Sauté the onions in butter until soft.
2. In a bowl, combine the room temperature ground beef with the sautéed onions and all other ingredients. Mix well with a whisk to break down the meat texture.
3. Shape the mixture into patties, about 2 cm thick, using a small round mold or by hand.
4. Cook the patties in butter over medium heat for about 3 minutes on each side.
5. Wrap the cooked patties in foil and place in a 200°C (392°F) oven on the lower rack for about five minutes.
6. Prepare the mayonnaise by mixing all the ingredients and refrigerate covered with plastic wrap.
7. Slice the burger buns and spread ketchup on the bottom. Add the warm patty, smoked cheese, tomato, lettuce, and crispy bacon slices.
8. Generously add mayonnaise and place the top bun on.
