This delicious chocolate coffee mousse is the perfect dessert that elegantly combines the flavors of chocolate and coffee. Preparation Time: 20 minutes + 4 hours in the fridge
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 125 g mascarpone cheese
- 4 tbsp heavy cream (for the mousse)
- 100 g dark chocolate
- 1.5 dl heavy cream (for whipping)
- 4 tbsp strong espresso coffee
- Grated dark chocolate (for garnish)
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
Instructions:
1. Melt the chopped dark chocolate in a water bath or microwave. Stir until smooth and let it cool.
2. In a bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and mascarpone cheese until smooth.
3. Add the cooled melted chocolate to the mascarpone mixture and mix well.
4. Stir in the espresso coffee.
5. Whip the 1.5 dl of heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the chocolate-mascarpone mixture.
6. Pour the mousse into serving bowls and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
7. Before serving, garnish the mousse with grated dark chocolate.
