Ingredients:
- 800 g potatoes (preferably starchy potatoes)
- 2 l oil (for frying)
- Salt to taste
- Paprika powder (optional)
- Garlic powder (optional)
- Fresh herbs (such as parsley or rosemary, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Peel the potatoes and cut them into long strips.
2. Rinse the potato strips in cold water and dry them thoroughly with paper towels.
3. Heat the oil in a large pot or deep fryer to about 180°C (350°F).
4. Fry the potato strips in small batches until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes.
5. Remove the fries with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
6. Season with salt, paprika powder, and garlic powder to taste.
7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs.
