This delicious homemade bread is a perfect addition to any dining table. It rises well and is easy to prepare.
Preparation Time: 2 hours (including rising time)
Serving Size: 1 loaf
Ingredients:
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 300 ml water
- 10 g salt
- 10 g sugar
- 7 g dry yeast
- 30 ml olive oil
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, sugar, and dry yeast.
2. Add the water and olive oil to the flour mixture. Stir the dough by hand or with a mixer until smooth.
3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it is elastic.
4. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
5. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and shape it into a loaf.
6. Place the loaf in a bread pan (approximately 20 cm long, 10 cm wide, and 10 cm high) and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
7. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
8. Bake the bread for about 30-35 minutes, until it is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
9. Allow to cool before slicing.
