A hearty and flavorful Finnish sausage soup that warms both the heart and stomach.

Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 400 g siskonmakkara (Finnish sausage)
- 1 large onion
- 2 carrots
- 3 potatoes
- 1 liter of water
- 1 vegetable stock cube
- 200 ml cream
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- Fresh herbs (e.g. parsley) for garnish
Instructions:
1. Begin by browning the siskonmakkara in a pan until golden. Set aside.
2. Peel and chop the onion, carrots, and potatoes.
3. Sauté the onion in a pot until soft. Add the carrots and potatoes, cooking for a few more minutes.
4. Pour in the water, add the vegetable stock cube, bay leaf, and the browned siskonmakkara. Cook for about 15-20 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
5. Stir in the cream, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and heat for a while longer.
6. Remove the bay leaf before serving and garnish with fresh herbs.
