Ingredients:
- 200 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or fusilli)
- 250 g fresh mushrooms (e.g., button mushrooms or chanterelles)
- 1 small onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 100 ml cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and reserve some cooking water.
2. Finely chop the onion and garlic.
3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sautéing until soft.
4. Add the chopped mushrooms to the pan and cook until golden brown and the liquid has evaporated.
5. Pour the cream into the mushroom mixture and stir well. Heat for a few minutes.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the pan and mix. If needed, add a bit of reserved pasta water for the desired consistency.
7. Season with salt and pepper.
8. Serve the pasta garnished with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
