A delicious Italian pasta dish with bold flavors. Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 400 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or penne)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 400 g canned crushed tomatoes
- 100 g black olives, sliced
- 50 g capers
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh basil, for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in salted water. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for a few minutes until fragrant.
3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir well. Let it simmer for about 5-10 minutes.
4. Add the sliced olives, capers, salt, and black pepper to the pan. Stir and cook for a few more minutes.
5. Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce and mix thoroughly to coat the pasta.
6. Serve with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese, if desired. Enjoy!
